A man who was thrown from a boat and a cold lake survived from Friday after swimming about two miles away to safety.

According to the Cook Sharif provincial office, two men of the Grand Portage Morsi left in the far northeast of Minnesota on Friday evening, heading to the Royal Park of Royal, about 20 miles away.

Sherif Cook, Sharif Batlias, said: The boat hit a wave, and one of the men “flew from the boat in one way or another.”

The boat driver, Joe Moddic, could not find his friend. He called the Coast Guard and returned to the beach.

Later, his friend, Peter Joyce, was seen waving sticks from a small island called Portage Island off the beach from Grand Portage Reservation.

Eliasin said that the Grand Portage in Lake Superior’s Chippewa’s Game Warden “jumped in a boat, went out and took it.”

JOICE estimated that he swam about two miles before reaching the island.

“It was very unfortunate, but he was very lucky, because no one was injured,” Eliasin said. “Nobody lost their lives, as you know, maybe it couldn’t play much better than this, in fact, for such an accident.”

Eliasin added that the accident is a good reminder to always wear a survival jacket and be aware of what is happening around you when it is outside the lake, where the water can be cruel and cold.
