Canelo Vs. Bakhram Murtazaliev is required vs. Erickson Lubin: The Fight Boxing Fans title deserves

IBF’s junior mid -weight champion Bakhram Murtazaliev says no one wants to “organize ‘his title defense ordered by IBF against Erickson Lubin.

For this battle to happen, BSHA will need some dates to show, and a large headline to pair with. Murtazaliev-Lubin is not a big enough battle on its own to become the main attraction.

Bakhram is required after Canelo-Crawford Postcard

What do Murtazaliev and Lubin need Turki Alalshikh to be realized and added to one of his Riyadh season cards. Even if their fight is buried on one of the cards, at least it will be done.

The ideal spot would be on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford card on September 13th. It is an event that is completely devoid of quality on the subcook. Essentially, this is the main event, packaged with a tossed undercard.

Adding Murtazaliev-Lubin to the event would be an immediate improvement, perhaps even outweigh the main event in terms of entertainment value to the fans. You can rely on Murtazaliev and Lubin going to war. We already know that Crawford is going to Boxing Canelo and borrowing from Mayweather’s playbook. Bakhram vs Lubin would save the day.

The untreated Bakkhram (23-0, 17 ko) has had bad luck since casting out former 154-punch champion WBO Tim Tszyu in October last year. He has dealt with a hand injury and attacks against Josh Kelly and Vergil Ortiz Jr., failing to realize. Now, it’s a broadcast issue that delays the defense of the Murtazaliev title against Lubin (27-2, 19 KOS).

Why Bakhram Murtazaliev is avoided

The reputation that Bakhram has developed as Boogeyman of Section 154 lbs is another reason why he failed to take advantage of his victory over Tszyu. The way Tim destroyed is appalling to the other best fighters. None of the big names wanted to fight it.

Murtazaliev appears to sit for more than a year before he finally fought. In October, it will have been a year since his victory over Tszyu. At this scale, Bakhram could be lucky if he fought at all in 2026.

Lubin can’t be happy for this. He has clawed his way back to the compulsory IBF site by winning his last three contests after being stopped in the ninth round by Sebastian Fundora in 2022. That fighting was a great obstacle to Erickson, as he had come back from his left -round first loss to Jermell Charlo in 2017, to win his six fights.
