
Chinese government media says that NVIDIA H20 chips are not safe for China

President Trump’s administration banned its sales in April amid an escalation of trade tensions with China, but reflected the ban in July.
The Chinese Electronic Space Control Authority said on July 31 that it summoned NVIDIA to a meeting, as it asked the chips maker to explain whether the H20 chips have any security risks to the rear paper – a hidden way to overcome natural authentication or security controls.
NVIDIA said later that its products do not contain “background devices” that would allow distance access or control.
In her article, Yuuan Tantian said that NVIDIA chips can achieve jobs including “remote closure” through “Backdooor” devices.

In a comment earlier this month, people said that NVIDIA should produce “convincing security evidence” to eliminate Chinese users’ concerns about the security risks of its chips and restore market confidence.
