Through his career, David Hawkni has organized countless exhibitions, but he made it in Louis Vuitton Foundation In Paris you may be more ambitious for him. Open for only one month, David Hawken 25 It brings together more than 400 artist’s works, and includes 70 years Creative output. All the time, modern Hawken’s paintings, artistic images, new digital art, ethereal landscapes, overwhelming spaces, and an unprecedented glimpse into the artist’s practice.
David Hawken 25 He reveals across the entire museum and in several sections, starting from his most symbolic works from the fifties to the 1970s. Here, Hockney masterpiece of 1967 Boulevard It appears, as well A picture of an artist (gathering with two people) From 1972. Both paintings reveal a unique atmosphere in California, one of which is based on optimism and warmth, Desert modernityAnd quiet simplicity. These premature pieces may put moody David Hawken 25However, as its title suggests, the exhibition focuses primarily over the past 25 years. During this time, Hawkni spent most of his time in Yorkshire, Normandy and London, reflected through such landscapes as such as You may flourish on the Roman road and Large trees near water.
It is appropriate, that the first floor of Fondation is intended for Normandy, where it is 220 for 2020 The series is spread across the total exhibition 5. It was created exclusively on the iPad, where the series embodies the gradual transition between seasons, with accurate differences in light and tone that transmits how landscapes can slowly turn towards a new expression. Another room features more digital art in Hockney, which displays about 60 pictures of friends and relatives produced on both iPad and with acrylic. By viewing these iPad photos in the tires, which is a very traditional format, the Antichrist raises exciting questions about digital art as a means, and how it still corresponds to more closely than what was expected in the agreements in the history of art.
On the upper floors, David Hawken 25 It becomes more immersive. These exhibitions are completely suspicious in the vibrant world Performance art. In exhibition 10, for example, Hockney reports re -identifying the designs that have been created since the 1970s, while Fondation is called “multi -vertebra”, in conjunction with 59 studio. Another room, the museum continues, to a dance hall, which reflects “Hoknni’s house where musicians and dancers regularly call for performance.” The exhibition closed new works from last year, including the mysterious paintings inspired by Edofard Monch and William Blake.
“This exhibition means an enormous amount because it was the largest exhibition I had – 11 rooms in Fondish Louis Vuitton,” he noticed. “Some of the last paintings that I am now will be included, and I think it will be very good.”
