Liberty striker Emma Maysman was cheerful on Tuesday night while standing near the center’s stadium and looked at the cheerful scene around her.

It had just taken a photo of a team with the actor and sports fanaticism in New York yet Freedom won the wings 85-76. Her colleagues proudly stood in a fortified line behind her because she conducted a brief interview after the post -game game on the Barclays Center speakers.

At one point, Natasha Claude crossed the edges of the court, leading the crowd in the choir of “Emma” chants.

The whole thing was overwhelming for Messman. But at the same time, this experience was a great reason for returning to WNBA after a two -year stop.

“This is one of the things I will remember,” said Messman after a short slowdown. “I never thought that the gym like the Barclays Center will do it for me. I just play the basketball from Belgium. I was doing what I love, then this is as a result. So I will really remember it. So I am really grateful for that, on the fans and see all of this.”

Perhaps this is the second full day for Messman only in New York City and the second match that she played with freedom, but all that the team hoped would happen with the addition of the Belgian star of 6 feet.

It is early in its mandate, and freedom is still in three main players, but Messman has shown glimpses of ways that can open another level of this team on both sides of the floor.

Defensive, Messman is another real protector, which can switch one to four. It can use its length to disable the passers -by and prevent bullets.

CLOD encouraged correspondents the next time they saw Messman to “tell her to put her hand and see how big her hands are already.”

“They are like MITTS, and his brothers,” said Cloud, who won 12 points and six assists. “(Messman) adds a lot of diversity to the list of already great freedom.”

Messman can do a lot of good things in the violation as well-including very low procedures, selection, poppiece, precision passages and more. It ended with 13 points, three rebound balls, auxiliary, and two banned shots in their second match.

Do not be surprised by the cloud, nor Sabrina IONESCU, with the success of Messman, and soon enables the network with freedom.

“That’s why we really wanted it here,” said Aionsco. “It is more reassuring than just knowing that it came, and this is what she did in her first two games. That was not really any transitional period, it was as if the basketball was freedom and suitable.”

Part of what helped in transition is the fact that the crime of freedom is reading and interaction is similar to European -style basketball. Augusco said her game is similar to Messman because both depend on the basics and read the defenses well.

Although Ionscu did not play with Messman Prev, the two have discussed different scenarios on the field and began to learn each other’s tendencies and skills.

“It has been very fun so far,” said Aionsu.

Maysman said that her knowledge that played with or against half of the team helped her feel comfortable, especially Jones, which scored 15 points and 10 rebound balls on Tuesday.

“This makes me feel (as I can) a little faster,” said Maysman. “It didn’t take a long time with her to feel the chemistry again (with Jones) … she feels knowledge.”

Freedom improved to 19-10 in the season and remained second in the ranking behind the icon. The wings decreased to 8-22 and placed stay in the cellar in the league with the sky and the sun.

Freedom gets an absolute vacation two days before traveling to Dallas to play the wings for the last time this season on Friday.
