Rahul Jain, a citizen of Singapore, said that the United States is not on its travel list this year. He recalled the “very scrutiny, much investigation,” from the US Immigration Officers from the past.

But for him, these issues are deeper, he said.

He said, “The violence, the crime there, the poverty,” he said. “I’m sure the media is not as bad as the situation, but … why should you take a chance?”
