Xander Zayas 3-Fighter Hit List: Why he called out Vergil Ortiz Jr., Sebastian Fundora, and Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in 154

Xander Zayas has revealed his three -fighter hit list of who he would like to fight at the age of 154. Here are the three on the Zayas list from top to bottom:

  1. Vergil Ortiz Jr.
  2. Sebastian Fundora
  3. Jaron ‘boots’ ennis

Zayas (22-0, 13 KOS) grabbed WBO’s empty mid-weight title last month, beating Jorge Garcia on July 26th. Despite Garcia looking slow and horrific, Zayas had many problems beating him.

Zayas strategy of the highest rank

You could say from watching the battle that this is the best Xander can do. He can’t beat fighters better than Jorge Garcia’s level. It does not have the power, and shows a reluctance to engage. How much holding Zayas made against Garcia was the largest I had ever seen from a fighter without being punished or disqualified. It was extreme.

Zayas champions on the highest site are not expected to allow any of those three of his fighting list. Instead, there are rumors that he defends against the Giovani Santillan peripheral weight competitor In December in returning home to Puerto Rico.

“Vergil Ortiz #1, Sebastian Fundora and Boots Ennis,” Xander Zayas told Dazn’s boxingWhose score he prefers to fight next. “Vergil Ortiz, I feel it will be a huge battle here on the east coast of Puerto Rico and Mexico. He is from Mexico, I’m from Puerto Rico, fighting a lot in New York. I feel that being on the east coast would be a crazy battle.”

“Same with shoes on the east coast. He was a former world -champion and moving up in the weight class. I first saw him 154. 147 is a completely different story. That’s why I chose him on this,” said Zayas.

The weak contact at 154

It would be difficult for Ennis if he immediately fought one of the quality younger middleweight in his first battle in the new weight class. But it wouldn’t be a problem at all if Boots fought Xander Zayas in his first battle in 154, because it’s not one of the talented fighters. It’s more of a paper champion fighter. It’s like Mario Barios Section 154-Power. In other words, Zayas is the weakest link.

Ennis would be easy to beat Xander if they had the opportunity, it won’t. The highest site will never allow it and will probably never. It doesn’t matter how long Boots fight in 154. He will not have a chance to fight against Zayas unless someone like Turki Alalshikh is involved and offers crazy money to Xander.

“The second one, Sebastian Fundora, I chose it because I was the compulsory, and I felt the fighting was going to happen. So I still want to show that I can beat it,” said Xander.

It is suspicious whether the top position will set Xander against Fundora, as the result would be almost sure to be bad for their fighter. They try to turn Zayas into a star in New York by selectively matching him in the same way as they did Edgar Berlanga. If they let Zayas fight against Fundora, it would ruin that permanently, as would Ennis and Vergil Ortiz Jr.
